Exploring shapes in Year 1/2 🔺🟪🟡

We have been busy exploring 3D and 2D shapes in class. We have investigated and talked about the properties of shapes and sorted collections of shapes in several ways - shapes that roll/do not roll, shapes that stack/do not stack, spheres/circles, 2D/3D, red shapes/not red. We have talked about shapes in the environment and the children brought in lots of 3D shapes from around the house for our classroom display table 👏🏻
